KEYLINE DONATES TO THE WORLD FOOD PROGRAMME

We’d like to start off the New Year with a huge THANK YOU to all of you who shopped on KeylineStore.com during our Holiday Donation Campaign, which ran through the month of December. We pledged to donate 15% of December sales from KeylineStore.com to the World Food Programme (WFP), which “is the leading humanitarian organization saving lives and changing lives, delivering food assistance in emergencies and working with communities to improve nutrition and build resilience.”

Thanks to you, our donation will have the capacity to fund 86 WFP Emergency Boxes, which contain enough shelf-stable food to feed a family of five for one month.* This means that our donation could help feed up to 430 people for a whole month!*

About World Food Programme

The World Food Programme plays a crucial role in providing food aid during emergencies and collaborates with communities to enhance nutrition and strengthen resilience.

Despite the global commitment to eradicate hunger, achieve food security, and enhance nutrition by 2030, hunger remains a persistent challenge, with one in ten people globally struggling to secure enough food. Addressing this issue and breaking the cycle of hunger and poverty is central to WFP's mission.

WFP's commitment to fighting hunger, improving conditions for peace in conflict-ridden areas, and combating the use of hunger as a weapon in conflicts earned it the Nobel Peace Prize in 2020.

In 2022, WFP reached a record high by assisting 160 million people worldwide. The organization's capability is evident in its logistics: daily, it mobilizes 6,500 trucks, 20 ships, and 140 aircraft to deliver vital food and assistance to the most needy. This robust response capacity cements WFP's status as an effective emergency responder, capable of operating at scale in challenging environments.

WFP's work encompasses emergency aid, relief and rehabilitation, development support, and special operations. A significant portion of its efforts is directed towards conflict-affected regions, where the likelihood of malnutrition is threefold compared to non-conflict areas.

*Donations to the World Food Programme are unrestricted, meaning the organization will allocate the funds where they are most needed. We cannot guarantee the funds will be used for emergency boxes, but we have donated enough funds to be equivalent to the value of 86 WFP emergency boxes.
